For many of us, the word serving—or servant—carries with it a negative connotation. This can be a challenge or a problem for those of us who identify ourselves as disciples of Jesus! We see in Scripture that one of the basic identities and attributes of a disciple of Jesus is that of a servant. How does our identity as a servant migrate from something that can be seen as negative, to something that brings joy into our life?
